I’ve titled this a South Dakota travel diary, but more accurately it should be called the South Dakota, Wyoming and Montana travel diary because I hit up all three states in this trip. We did actually sleep in SD though, so that’s my reasoning!
I took so many pictures on this trip that I thought I’d do just a photo diary post of them, so I’ll quickly explain what we did and then you can just scroll through the beautiful landscapes. The first full day there we went four wheeling in Wyoming in the mountains and were able to see Devil’s Tower off in the distance, and the mountains were gorgeous. Day two we went to a ranch in Montana and helped round up cattle. So many cows, so many acres, and it was chilly! The third day we explored Deadwood and Spearfish, which was the area we stayed in. The waterfalls were in the Spearfish canyon and we also ate some delicious Indian Tacos. Yummm. And lastly, on the way home we stopped in Wall Drug again as well as the Badlands. The fog was extremely thick and it made everything a bit eerie, which if know me, I absolutely love. And the Badlands! Oh my goodness! They are wild and I loved them!
Have you ever been to South Dakota, Wyoming, or Montana?? What did you love about it?
