2018: The Year of Spectacular Happenings

Hello hello! And Happy New Year to everyone!

It's been quite awhile since I've posted anything on here so I thought I would start this post with a little catching up.  Like we're chatting, having a coffee, because we're friends, right? So let's see, my last chatty post was in November so what did I do in December?  Well, while I was in Nashville at the beginning of the month, besides working, I recorded the vocals for a new song that I can't wait to share with you all.  It's very different from anything that I've put out before.  Very cinematic sounding and it's going to be pushed for film and t.v. which is extremely exciting.  Who knows, maybe you'll hear it on t.v. in 2018. Fingers crossed!

For the holidays I was lucky enough to be able to spend 10 days at home in Iowa with my family.  It was busy with all the holiday festivities, but also relaxing at the same time.  There's just something relaxing about being in your family home with your people and your animals.  I got in as many cuddles as I could with my cats and dog.  Not nearly enough though! We also had a new addition to the family this year.  My brother and sister-in-law got a boxer puppy named Diesel and he is so adorable and such a handful! They call him the Tasmanian Devil because when he gets going he sounds just like him.  It's hilarious.

Anywho, now I'm back home in Nashville, back to that daily grind. Like everyone else, trying to get my life together since it's the beginning of the year, setting goals for 2018. Hopefully I'll actually stick to them this year.  I can't say that I ever have in years passed.

Besides the obvious goal of getting healthier, I haven't really set many specific goals.  My reasoning behind that decision is because I believe that 2018 is going to be a year of spectacular happenings for everyone and I don't want to box myself in with specific goals.  I believe things are going to happen greater than what I could dream up.  That's what God promises and I am believing and claiming that for this year. Great strides forward in careers, relationships, dreams, whatever you have on your heart. I think this year will end with those dreams realized or at least you'll be a great deal closer to them. God says to pray for big things so that's exactly what I am doing and I am saying Yes, and Amen!

I also got a digital tablet for Christmas so I've been doing more experimenting with editing in Photoshop.  I thought I'd share some of my work with you all as well!

What are some of your hopes for 2018??

Be Wistful and Wander,
Jacey
