Ethically & Environmentally Friendly Jewelry

I don't know about you guys, but if I have the option to buy something that's ethically made and environmentally friendly, I'm going to take it.  That's why I'm super excited to share with you my collaboration with Boho by Spence!

This new collection from Spence Diamonds is inspired by the bohemian girl.  The girl who is creative, loves to travel, has a style of her own, values friends and family, an independent free spirit.  This was the first thing that caught my eye because it encompasses me so well!

The Boho by Spence collection is made up of 9 different symbols: the leaf, lotus, feather, elements (earth, fire, water), infinity, paisley, and arrow (for men).  I love that so much thought went in to making these designs as well.  They didn't just take a bunch of symbols that are typically related to the boho style and throw them together, but they each have a specific meaning behind them.  Here's a look at the three pieces that I received and the meaning behind each of the symbols.

The Leaf is purity personified.  A solid reminder of the importance of respecting one' self and others.

The Feather means soar.  Lighten your mind, open your heart, and let yourself go.

The Lotus means the future is wide open.  So awaken to the possibilities!

I am really loving all of the pieces that I received and I have worn them almost every day since they came in the mail.  One of the things that's really great about this collection is that it is super versatile! Versatility is something that's really important to me when shopping for jewelry and clothes and Boho by Spence really hit the mark with this collection.  You can wear them very casually for everyday life, or you can really dress them up as well!

Another thing that I also have to consider when buying jewelry is the material that it's made of.  I have very sensitive skin so certain materials can really irritate it.  This whole collection is made with sterling silver so I have had zero problems with skin irritation and the earrings have not made my ears hurt at all.

Now this jewelry may be a little more expensive then just going to the mall and picking up some costume jewelry, but you are really getting your moneys worth with these products.  They are very sturdy, high quality pieces that aren't going break on you.  I personally prefer to spend a little more money for quality jewelry than having to keep rebuying things because they've broken or tarnished.

Alright, let's talk about the important stuff. Every piece in this beautiful collection is made with environmentally sustainable Artisan Created Diamonds, which means that they're not real diamonds.  They may not be real, but they are created to look exactly like real mined diamonds.  By using Artisan Created Diamonds they are making these pieces affordable and also lessening the negative impact that diamond mining can have.

Not only are they using Artisan Created Diamonds, but Spence Diamonds is donating 1% of every purchase to NGO Not For Sale to help alleviate human trafficking.  In addition to that, they are also actively building schools and housing for those who have been displaced by diamond exploitation.  How awesome is that!? This company is really doing their part to make a difference in the world!

So if any of this has sparked your interest I would highly recommend checking out the entire Boho by Spence collection.  There  are so many gorgeous pieces that I haven't showed in this post.  Also, by purchasing their product you can know that you're doing a little part to make a positive impact in someones life.  Now doesn't that make you feel good?!

You can check out the entire collection with the links below, and if you're shopping in the U.S. you also get free shipping on all of your purchases!  Please let me know if you have any more questions about the company or the product and I would love to hear what pieces are your favorite!

Be Wistful and Wander,
Jacey
