Sunday Cookin'

I've grown up helping out in the kitchen whether it be at my grandmas house or helping out my mom.  I always enjoyed it, but in the last couple of years I have really developed a love for cooking and baking and a love for trying new recipes.

I recently discovered the blogger Joy the Baker and I am obsessed! Not only does she have great recipes, but she just seems like the coolest lady ever (check out her Instagram too, @joythebaker , her pictures are beautiful!). On top of all that, she lives in New Orleans, which I am super jealous of!

In my opinion, lazy Sundays are perfect for dirtying up the kitchen so that is exactly what I did! Of course I slept in, so I started off with making brunch for the fam. I ended up choosing to make a  Triple Berry Dutch Baby .  Unfortunately I only had strawberries so it was a strawberry dutch baby, but it was delicious all the same.  It was devoured quickly so I didn't get any pictures of it, but it was so good! It was my first time ever making a dutch baby and it was extremely simple to make with just a handful of ingredients. I would definitely recommend trying it out and I will for sure be making it again!

After laying around and being lazy all morning everyone was starting to crave something sweet.  Cookies are my families go to treat so I'm always trying out new recipes.  So I made my way back to Joy's blog to search for a cookie recipe and man did I find one.  I ended up making her Double Chocolate Chip Cookies because hey, it's Sunday, and they were ooey, gooey, and delicious!

Again, this recipe was super simple, no exotic ingredients or anything, and the finished product was super tasty!

You should definitely check out Joy the Baker and try some of her recipes because you will not regret it.  If you are already a fan of her blog, what recipe do you recommend trying?

I hope your Sunday has been lazy and relaxing!
