A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

My Rating:

At this point, I think  I could read anything that Sarah J. Maas has written and love it.  She has definitely become one of my favorite authors! This book is full of action, romance and fantastical fantasy and will leave you wanting more after you read the last page.
A thrilling, seductive new series from New York Timesbestselling author Sarah J. Maas, blending Beauty and the Beast with faerie lore.
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.
As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.

Top 5 Favorite Books | Spring 2015

If you're on Goodreads than you have probably heard of, or are participating in a reading challenge for 2015.  Back in January I set my goal at 50 books for this year.  At the time I thought it would be super easy because I had been flying through books like crazy.  Unfortunately I hit a rather large reading slump back in February and am just now getting out of it! Crazy I know, but I have Netflix to blame for that! Anyway, as of today I only have 11 books read this year and as Goodreads has informed me I am 14 books behind schedule! I have little bit of catching up to do.
As I was looking over the books I read this spring I was reminded of how hard it was to pick my favorite books of 2014 because I couldn't really remember the books that I had read at the beginning of the year very well.  That thought led to my decision to make a post about my top 5 favorite books I read in the spring.  By doing a top 5 favorite after each season it will be so much easier when January 2016 rolls around for me to pick out my favorites!
So here are my top 5 favorites!

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas | REVIEW

"Why has it taken me so long to read this book!?" is what I kept asking myself as I flew through the 404 page epic fantasy that is Throne of Glass.  I have been hearing about this book for quite a long time and for some reason kept pushing it farther and farther back on my reading list.  I finally picked it up back in January (before I hit my reading slump :/) and it has been sitting on my book shelf waiting to read until yesterday when I finally plucked off the top shelf, dusted it off, and cracked it open to the first page.  Let me tell you, all of the praise for this book I have seen is well deserved.  It was one of those books that I could not put down.  It literally took all the strength in me to put it down in the wee hours of the morning so I could get some sleep before work.
